After a contentious and difficult trial in front of a jury for nearly a week in the Circuit Court for the City of Virginia Beach, Attorney Adam Lotkin and his client, Marcia Emanuele were awarded a verdict in their favor against a local Gynecologist for leaving a sponge inside Mrs. Emanuele during a surgery in June 2003. The jury deliberated for nearly a half a day before returning a verdict in the amount of $400,000.00 plus interest from the date of negligence.
